When painting, Ausilia feels guided by Spirit. What usually starts as something imagined becomes a study of observation and inner exploration. Inspiration comes mostly from the human experience/ dreams…it’s layers, contrasts and cycles. Finding great interest in our emotional, mental and physical layers and how each evolves from the other to form our experiences. Ausilia is interested by what layers we choose to reveal or conceal, by our responses to and by our perceptions of the world around us. Her titles hint towards a personal meaning or experience and it is her hope that each work will spark a personal feeling or experience in the viewer.
